Collision between a vehicle and a bus, minor damage, 12 injuries reported

All 12 occupants of a recruitment agency bus that was swept away by a westbound lane-changing vehicle on Interstate 50 near the W County Freeway on Wednesday afternoon reported injuries to their necks or in the back.

Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. David Wright said the incident happened shortly before 3 p.m.

Deputies at the scene determined an 80-year-old man was changing lanes when his vehicle struck the bus. Little to no damage was reported to the bus while the man’s vehicle sustained minor damage and a flat tire.

The 12 occupants of the bus were adults. No other injuries were reported.
